Tomorrow we will be at the start line of one of the most iconic Belgian classics. Strong team performance in the IT Vaals

Our guys put on a great performance as today's test around Vaals was a difficult one. The 15,5 km long time trial went through a hilly circuit which made it a tough one for the riders. The recently crowned U23 National champion, Julius van den Berg, showed the Dutch stripes and finished his ride in the top spot of the table, only being beaten minutes later by one other rider. Julius van den Berg has been part of the team ever since its inception, and last week the 20-year old achieved his most special victory so far, the U23 Dutch time trial title: “I am very happy about it. What a race it was! We came into the race with the goal of retaining the Dutch Champions jersey. A goal which we confidently achieved.  Our riders followed clear and deliberate team instructions and went on the attack from the very first kilometers of the day. Gabriel Cullaigh will be in the Isle of Man this weekend riding the U23 TT British Championships. The British rider decided to sign for the team last winter because of the wider facilities that SEG had to offer: “Next to an extensive guidance, it was mainly the program that the team would race what made my decision easier. JULIUS VAN DE BERG WINS U23 DUTCH NATIONAL TIME TRIAL TITLE

What a way to kick off the Dutch National Championships! Our Julius van den Berg made the most of his good form and claimed the U23 title in Montferland. The strong Dutchman was the fastest of the field and the only rider to complete the circuit under 31 minutes. Van den Berg has been showing his talent when riding against the clock by winning the District Championship and finishing eight in the Giro time trial stage but this win is a huge success for him and the team. That is wrap for us at the 40th edition of the Giro d'Italia U23. The race was off to a fast start, and it took more than an hour of racing before the breakaway finally went clear. Once again our guys showed great fighting spirit and Julius van den Berg represented the team in the first attacks, but it was Stevie Williams the one who was part of the 16-man group that went up the road. Cullaigh drops out in the Giro’s hottest day

It was the hottest day in the Giro d’Italia U23, reaching 38°C during the stage. The race presented a challenging parcour that features up to five categorized climbs, including an uphill finish all the way up to Casalincontrada. Our team was not off to a good start as Gabriel Cullaigh was forced to withdraw of the race shortly after the start because of sickness. It was an action packed day for the peloton at the Giro d’Italia U23. The short an explosive morning stage saw the peloton arriving together to the last climb of the day after having chased down some breakaway attempts. In hard sloped of the last difficulty of the day, Stevie Williams stayed with the leaders group before losing contact with them in the final kilometers. Once again our riders went for an aggressive ride in today's stage four of the Giro d'Italia. Gabriel Cullaigh jumped into the break of the day together with two other riders and started to open a considerable gap to the peloton. The 3-man group was allowed up to five minutes before the bunch started the chase, but they got to the top of the last climb one minute ahead.
