Maas and De Vries ride into the Top 10 in Gooikse Pijl

After a break for some action in the World Championships, our guys were back on the Academy's colors for today's Gooikse Pijl. The one-day Belgian classic featured a 198 kilometers long parcour that took place in a 19,8 km circuit that the guys tackled 10 times. The race was off to a fast start, but it took more than 70 kilometers for the eventual break to actually go clear. We are beyond happy to announce that Minne Verboom will join the Academy from 2018 on wards. "I think that it is the biggest development team and they ride in an international program. Four of our riders will represent their national countries in tomorrow's road road in the U23 World Championships. Affini powers to eighth in the Worlds Championships TT

Edoardo Affini put on a great performance in today's individual time trial in the U23 World Championships celebrated in Bergen, Norway. The strong Italian rider hit the road in the second wave of riders and it quickly set the very fast times through the first time checks. Our strong Italian rider, Edoardo Affini, will roll off the ramp today at the U23 World Championships time trial. The 21-year old will face a tough 37 kilometers long parcour which includes a short but punchy climb that averages a slope above 7% in its 1,4 km. Eurode Omloop feature the last round of the 2017 Top Competitie's race. It was a tough journey, but our two Academy Alumni that took part in this year's Vuelta made it all the way to the finish line in Spain's capital, Madrid, in what is a great step in the development as professional riders.
