Jesper Rach will join the Academy as a trainee from August the 1st until the end of the season. After a short period away from the racing scheme and a training camp in the region, the Academy is back in action in Tour d'Alsace. The French race will hold 5 days of action and will combine a team time trial, sprint stages and mountaintop finishes. Peter Lenderink retires from cycling

Saturday's U23 Dutch Nationals road race was the last race of Netherland's Peter Lenderink. The 22-year old has decided to step aside from cycling because of a vasoconstriction in his groin diagnosed back in late 2016. After undergoing surgery in March 2017 the strong Dutchman made his comeback to the racing scheme in September of that very same year. The Academy came into Bergen with the goal of dominating again the U23 Dutch Nationals after seizing back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017, being Fabio Jakobsen the one who wore the red, white and blue jersey.
