Yesterday's Regionbank Kersenronde featured the fourth round of the U23 Road Series. We arrived to the race with already one win in our bag, as Jordi Meeus won in GP Tombroek. Like yesterday, it was yet again another action-packed day for the Academy as we participated in two stage in French soil at the same time. The third day of the Ronde de l'Isard, started alike the first two and featured a fast first hour of racing, in which a group of five riders jumped away from the bunch. Schelling moves to seventh overall in Ronde de l’Isard

After yesterday's win in the opening stage of the Ronde de l'Isard, we started the day with the yellow jersey in the shoulders of Kaden Groves. Today's stage presented a hilly parcour that featured two first category climb in the 136 km long parcour. The day was off to a fast start, 42 kilometers were completed in the first hour of racing, and it took quite a bit to form the breakaway of the day. We kicked off the Ronde de l'Isard 2019 as defending champions, following a successful weekend last year that powered our Alumni Stevie Williams to the overall win. It was a fast start and our riders quickly took the responsibility to control the bunch when most of the attacks took place. Weekend recap

It was an action-packed weekend for the Academy as we featured the start line of U23 Road Series GP Arjaan Schipper on Saturday as well as Flèche Ardennaise on Sunday. The weekend got off to a solid start as our riders showed themselves from early on in. Quickly a 7-man group got a significant gap to the peloton, with Daan Hoole and Marten Kooistra representing our flag up front. After a great week of racing around the French region of Bretagne, we faced the last stage before wrapping up the 2019 edition. The race featured, as per usual, and after several attempts to make it to the breakaway of the day. It was eventually a group of four riders the one that got the gap and spent the day up front.
