After the decision of the Dutch and Belgian authorities to cancel all cycling races until the 31st of March, following the already announced cancellation of France's Tour de Normandie and Tour de Bretagne, the SEG Racing Academy's racing program has been altered and we won't be racing during the remainder of the month. The health and well-being of the riders, staff, fans and neighbors is the main concern and we fully support the decision. Daan Hoole just quicked off his third season in the U23 ranks. After a solid effort in yesterday's Ronde van Groningen, we were back in racing mode today as we were featured in the start line of Dorpenomloop Rucphen. Ronde van Groningen presented a totally flat parcour, which included some strong headwind all day long. The race was off to hectic start as in the first kilometers, three of our riders were forced to stop for a bike change following crashes in the bunch. The peloton reminded together for more than 30 km. After a really successful start of the season where David Dekker seized a win in our season opener, Ster van Zwolle, and Jordi Meeus and Stan van Tricht seized wins in Villers-le-Temple and Wanzele's Kermesses, we are ready for yet another action-packed weekend. Tomorrow our riders will start in Ronde van Groningen, a race that will feature a total of 174 km predominantly flat and with technical parts. Today we went back to the start line of Wanzele Koerse, a race that brings us happy memories as in 2018 our Cees Bol seized there our first win of that season, and in 2019 Jordi Meeus was close to make it back-to-back wins as he finished second in the day. The Kermesse presented a totally flat 10,3 km long fast parcour that the riders had to tackle a total of 16 times. After a successful start of the season, with a dominating performance in Ster van Zwolle where we seized our first win of the season, it was time to tackle yet another one-day classic, 1.1's GP Le Samyn which featured a really strong field with WT and PCT teams.
