Q&A with Wouter Ruchtie about nutrition

The education side of the Academy does not only stick to racing and/or on-the-bike matters. We also take pride in educating our talents in matters like nutrition. We spoke to CyclingLab's Wouter Ruchtie, who aside from coaching some of our riders, is also the leader when it comes to the nutritional subjects within the team.  What’s the working plan/process with a U23 rider when it comes to improving their nutrition strategy and knowledge? The plan that we follow is an evidence-based approach. Seventh for van Tricht after a strong team performance in Ronde van Limburg

Today's 1.1 Ronde van Limburg, was a special race for us as, towards the end of our last training camp in Limburg, we did a recon of the most crucial parts of the race. That allowed our talents to have that extra gear that they showed today. The day was off to a fast start, with several attempts to make it up the road, but it was eventually a group of 3 riders the ones that made the gap.  Our talents stayed out of trouble and close to the front of the bunch…continue reading →

Stan van Tricht sprints to seventh in Circuit Wallonie

The Circuit Wallonie marked our return to the racing scene after a successful stint in Greek soil at the Tour of Rhodes. The 195 km long parcour with start and finish in Charleroi, presented different possibilities to our seven talents that started in the race. They were off for a fast start with an initial breakaway of 4 riders, but the constant high-speed of the bunch did not allow them a big enough margin, and were caught with more than 100 km left. The initial part of the race was a tough one…continue reading →
