Anastopoulos: “I saw a solid team on and off the bike”
Our first team training camp of the year is done and dusted. During 12 days our riders moved to Loutraki where they have been keeping up with his preparations ahead of the 2018 season. The ideal locations that Loutraki offers allowed our team to combine long endurance rides with TTT training sessions. Performance Manager, Vasilis Anastopoulos, is satisfied with the conduct and work ethic of the riders during this training block. “In my opinion it was a really good training camp. The riders managed to perfectly follow the designed training plan, and luckily there were no mechanical problems, crashes, etc … We all finished the camp tired, but with a smile in our faces”.

In the days leading to the training camp Anastopoulos highlighted the importance of building trusty relationships off the bike at this time of the year, as it will be carried throughout the season. “I saw a solid team on and off the bike, mainly a group of riders who quickly became friends and colleagues. It was a target of ours to bring all the guys closer together and become a united team. I am really happy on how the new members of the team quickly became part of the group and were really well welcomed by the ‘older’ ones”.

After the heavy training load of this past 12 days our riders will enjoy some easy rides in the coming weeks. Our team will be back on Greek soil next month for yet another team training camp in Loutraki that will set the rider’s form on point ahead of the first races of the season. “For the riders now it is time to enjoy some well deserved easy days before resuming training at a higher intensity in the next few days ahead of our second training camp. The Loutraki Challenge (TT & Road Race) will mark our first serious test just days ahead of our first races of the year” points out our Performance Manager.
