Day one in Aosta done
16/07/2021
Today the Giro valle d’Aosta started with a really tough 110 km long stage that featured a total of 4 categorized climbs throughout. The race was off to a very fast start, with several attempts of making up the road. Our riders kept us well represented at all times on those early moves, with Milan Paulus and Marco Frigo representing our flag.
The one that stuck for a bit, was one with Milan Paulus and 8 other riders, but as soon as the climbing part started the front group broke into several pieces and our rider was back to the bunch. From there it turned into a full elimination race, with the bunch keeping a high pace all along.
Harrison Wood was our best finished in a tough day at the office for us, but we have two more days to try to make it work and show our fighting spirit. Tomorrow the peloton will finish all the way up the Breuil Cervina climb after 158,4 km and five categorized climbs.
