Daan Hoole: “We improved a lot in the training camp”
Fresh off his first two training camps with the Academy, Daan Hoole is back home ready to get his first season in the U23 ranks underway. The 19-year old Dutchman feels satisfied of his performance in Loutraki. “The training camp was really good for me personally and for the team. I think that all of us improved a lot and we are all looking forward to start the racing season”. Hoole showed his talent in the Loutraki Challenge finishing second overall behind teammate Ide Schelling, after placing third in the uphill and winning the road race stage.

The talented Dutchman will enjoy his first season in the U23 ranks, and has no other goal than learning as much as possible about the new category.  “My main goal for the upcoming season is to be the best version of myself. I can not aim for results because it is my first year in the category, so it will be all about learning from my teammates, staff and the races themselves”.

After a successful last season as a Junior, where Daan sized strong results in one-day races, time trials and overall classifications, his ambitions will rely on keep on improving as a complete bike rider . “I really want to improve in everything. Of course that I really like time trials and I have had good results in the past, but I do not want to stand still with that and I am aiming to develop myself in climbs, cobbles and sprints as well”.
