Dainese scores his second Academy win in Ronde van Midden Brabant
After the World Championships action, we were back in Academy colors in Netherland’s Ronde van Midden Brabant. The 160 km long presented a predominately flat parcour that saw the riders complete 3 laps of 40 km before targetting the final two local laps in an urban circuit of 20 km in length.

The race started with some attempts to move up front and it was finally a group of four riders the ones that made it up the road. The whole Academy lineup remained in the main peloton, saving energy for the right time and taking care of the fast riders. When the race approached the final end, our colors moved up to the front of the peloton and led the chase all the way to the line. With 6 km remaining, Cees Bol attacked and brought Italian sprinting talent, Alberto Dainese, and another rider to his wheel.

The trio caught up with the leading 4-man group with just 500 m to left, and after a perfect lead-out by the Dutchman, Dainese crossed the line in first place and took a convincing second win in Academy colors. The 20-year old Italian is just a few weeks in his contract with the Academy but he has already shown himself against some of the best sprinters of the world and collected some important wins.
