Marco Frigo to start his season at Coppi e Bartali
22/03/2021
Our talented Italian climber, Marco Frigo, will kick-off his season tomorrow at Coppi e Bartali as a part o the Italian National Team. The 21-year old, who back in his first year in the category claimed the U23 Italian Road Race title, is looking forward to getting the season underway as he expects big things to come during the year. “I’ll be approaching this race with a lot of confidence, but also after a long winter. It’s been quite some time since I raced for the last time, so I’m really looking forward to it” points out Frigo.
Marco will arrive at the race fresh off some high-quality training days in Greece with our Performance Manager, Ioannis Tamouridis. “I’m very happy with the work done over the winter, I think that with Ioannis we have completed a really productive training cycle, so that will really help my mindset and motivation going into, not only this race but the full season”.
Talking specifically about his goals in the action-packed Settimana Coppi e Bartali, which will compress a total of six stages in just a span of five days, he’s feeling calm and relaxed. “My ambitions are pretty standard and realistic, I know that I’ll be debuting in a very hard race with a strong start list and a lot of riders with more racing pace than myself at this point of the season. However, I’m very positive that I’ll be feeling better every day, so I hope to help the national team and show myself when the parcour becomes demanding” concludes Frigo.
