Marco Frigo, as well as most of his teammates, decided to stay put in Loutraki between our two training camps and focus 100% on his preparations coming into his second season as in the category. “The training camp is going really well. The weather is fantastic so that allow us to follow our training plan without problems. We have done a very solid block of endurance training, and I feel like it will help us a lot during the season. The team chemistry is getting better day in day out and I’m feeling very comfortable, which for a foreign rider like me it’s very important” highlights Frigo.
The U23 Italian Road Race Champion is looking forward to the start of the season, which he highlights as a very important one in his development. “I have to gain a lot of experience. The northern races will not be easy at first, but I am looking forward to it, it’s something new that will only help me to be a better rider. I’ll give everything to improve and help the team. At this point of the pre-season, if I have to rate my winter I would say that is been very positive, good training loops and the ideal preparation to be great in the spring”.
Even though that for us Loutraki is a regular destination at the point and time of the year, for the 19-year old Italian it was his first time there. “This location is very good for training. Near the coast but at the same time near the mountains. Also the weather proved to be suited for a productive training camp, especial with the warm temperatures despite being in the winter period”.
