Groves wins the opening stage in Circuit des Ardennes
The Circuit des Ardennes kicked off with a long 188 km long stage. The day was off to calm start and quickly two riders escaped from the main group and they got a significant gap that at a certain point was more than 6 minutes. Even though a rider tried to bridge across the leading group at a certain point, he was eventually brought back by the bunch.

All six Academy jerseys could be found in the peloton, sitting nice and easy in the wheels saving energy for the final sprint to the line. With about 20 km to go the group was back in one piece, and despite several attempts to break clear in the final part of the stage, the group remained as one big bunch. The goal of the Academy was to set Kaden Groves, who showed his current state of form in Triptyque with two stage wins, in the best possible position coming into the final rush to the line.

The chaotic final caused a crash in which Adam Hartley was involved, but our youngster could finish the stage on the bike. Our guys worked perfectly to lead out Kaden Groves to the win. His third of the season and he moves to the leaders jersey as well.
