After riding Belgium’s Triptyque des Monts et Châteux, Jan Maas will be back on the bike for this weekend’s Circuit des Ardennes in France. The 21-year old rider joined the team just last winter, but he is excited about being part of our 2017 squad. “Everything is great: we ride an international program with great material and awesome teammates. I think all of us can learn a lot.”
Maas is motivated and ambitious ahead of the upcoming races. “I have ridden some of the important races in the U23 calendar already. That is good because I know them, but this year I want to step up and go for a good result.”
After getting his shape on point with some early season races, the Dutch rider is really looking forward to the upcoming races. “My first target of the year will be Liège-Bastogne-Liège. I really like it and I think that it suits me. Also, sharing those climbs with professional cyclists is beautiful and makes the race very special.”
We will follow closely the development of this talented climber!
