Jesper Rasch joins the Academy as a trainee
Jesper Rach will join the Academy as a trainee from August the 1st until the end of the season. The 20-year Dutchman will combine some races with the Academy as well as with his current club, WV West Frisia. “It is really exciting to be part of the SEG Racing Academy. It is a reward for doing well in the season and a big opportunity to develop myself in a very professional environment. I believe that it will help me to become a better cyclist” highlights Rasch.

Rasch, who sprinted to the win in Grote Omloop van de Veenkolonien earlier this season, will race in the Academy jersey for the first time in Ronde van de Achterhoek the coming 19th of August. “During this traineeship with the Academy, I will learn a lot about all sides of cycling, from training to how to treat the material, which is important matters in order to become professional”, points out the Dutch sprinter.

The professionalism in which the team is run and the opportunities that the international development program that the Academy offers to U23 riders were the things that attracted the most to Jesper Rasch before joining the team for the last months of the season. “You need to learn a lot before becoming a professional rider, and I want to experience this process in this short time with the team. I will have a great opportunity and I am really forward to it!”.
