After spending the last pat of the 2019 season riding for the Academy as a trainee, Wessel Krul landed a spot in our 2020 roster. The 19-year old enjoyed his first team building camp last month, and he still has really positive vibes about it. “I really liked the first team building camp. It was really nice to get to  know each other off the bike and the vibe really was there. We did some activities together and there was already a competitive ambiance in those activities, which I really liked. I had a great time and I’m looking forward to race with all of them”

Krul, who in late-June powered to second in the U23 Dutch Time Trial National Championships, behind our Daan Hoole, has a clear mindset about his personal goals for 2020. “The main goal for me personally will be giving it all in the time trail. I’m really looking  forward of what I’m capable of in such a good environment as SEG Racing Academy.  For the road races the goal will be to develop myself and to learn a lot from my teammates and help them where I can”.

When asked about what races he will mark in his 2020 calendar, the talented Dutchman is looking forward to joining our racing program from the beginning of the season and gain some knowledge in prestigious races at the same time that he grows when racing against the clock. “I’m really exited for next year. I really enjoy riding for my teammates and helping them to reach their goals and go flat out in the time trials”.
