We are happy to announce that we will be organizing a team training camp in the Limburg area starting next week on the 22nd, and running all the way until the 28th of July. This way, our talents will be able to properly prepare their form and condition for the action-packed remainder of the season, in which we will aim to keep up the strong start which saw our riders bringing home three wins in just four racing days.

All the attending riders and staff will following strict sanitary measures, and in accordance to the regulations and guidelines set by the UCI, the mandatory COVID-19 tests will be done during this period.

Ioannis Tamouridis, SEG Racing Academy Performance Manager, talks about the performance benefits of getting the team together at this moment of the year:
“After a long time without racing intensity and many individual training sessions, it’s time to bring all the riders together for a short training camp before the season gets underway again. During this period, we tried to keep our riders motivated and we gave them all the necessary stimulus in order to continue the hard work, and now is the time for the last tune up. The goal of this training camp is to take advantage of the group dynamic and riders motivation and give them the opportunity to train on specific high intensities and speed, just before the first races”

Aike Visbeek, SEG Racing Academy Director:
“We looked at many ways to do our final preparation of the restart of the season. Our season start, with 3 wins in just four racing days,  coming from our training camp shows that our Performance staff has the expertise to really bring the riders on a very high level. So we choose to make an investment in a week-long training camp in order to bring the riders on racing level. Having the group together for a week makes it also possible to create our own team bubble and do the mandatory COVID-19 tests before our first races”
