A crash in the last edition of the Ronde van Vlaanderen U23 resulted in a broken collarbone for Marten Kooistra. Thanks to a lot of work and a speedy recovery, the Dutch rider will be at the start line of Sunday’s Paris-Roubaix U23: “My recovery was really fast and after a week I was riding on the Tacx. Then I started riding outdoors again and I felt that I was getting better day by day.”
Despite the setback that the injury meant to his training and racing programs, the strong Dutchman is looking forward to ride the Hell of the North: " This race is very special and one of the most beautiful ones I know. I am not sure on what I can expect from my collarbone, but I hope that I can ride a good race and we can get a nice result."
All the best on Sunday, Marten!
