Even though he was more than ready to kick off his season, Cees Bol suffered an unfortunate incident at home. A knock on his head resulted in a severe concussion. We are being extra careful with Cees, monitoring him day by day to see when it will be appropriate for him to get back on the bike. This is obviously a big blow for the winner of Olympia’s Tour 2016, who had ambitious goals for this spring. Hopefully, Cees will be fully recovered soon.
The strong Dutchman had a tough start of the season. After a thorough examination, we found out that Peter has a vasoconstriction in his groin. Together with our medical team, Peter decided to undergo surgery in order to recover the full ability to ride his bike at a high level. At this point, we know there is a long way to go, but we will help him get back as soon as possible. Peter will miss some of the races he had already marked in his calendar. Nevertheless, with an eye in the future, this is clearly the best step to take.
