Meeus: “I will try to take as many as possible victories for the team and for myself.”

Tomorrow’s Omloop het Hageland will mark the first ever race of our new trainee, Jordi Meeus, with the SEG Racing Academy kit. The strong Belgian rider defines this race as a special one for him: “I really look forward to it. It’s awesome that last year I went as a spectator to the race to watch and now I’ll be riding myself.”

Jordi holds big classics skills, and he’ll prove himself with some one-day races with the team in the upcoming weeks: “The plan is to integrate myself in the team and learn. I look forward to get to know staff and my new teammates, as well as adapting myself to the continental level. That will help me to kick off 2018 in top shape.”

The 19-year old Belgian rider feels calm and relax ahead of this new experience, but he already has a clear idea of what he want to accomplish here: “I will try to take as many as possible victories for the team and for myself.”
