Who?

Pim Ligthart, 10 years of pro cycling experience under his belt.

What about him?

Pim rode professionally for 10 seasons at the top levels of the sports and score magnificent wins like the 2010 Dutch Road Race Nationals, Ronde van Drenthe and GP Marseillaise.

How did he perform?

Fresh off his retirement as a professional cyclist, Pim wanted to share his knowledge, experience, and advice with young and upcoming talents, so the Academy was the right fit for him. He was on the team for a year and served as a DS, but he was always on top of things and was a true asset to our talents especially in the one-day classics.

What was next after the Academy?

By hitting the ground running with success in our Academy, Team DSM caught an eye on him and at the end of the 2021 season they offered him to move to the WorldTour again but this time as a coach for the first team as well as the development one.
