Preview Arno Wallaard Memorial
A total of 184 km in a predominantly flat parcour await the riders tomorrow in the Arno Wallaard Memorial. The race will feature two long loops (76 km) before entering to the final 6,5 km long local circuit that the riders will tackle a total of five times. Six strong riders will represent the Academy flag in the start in Meerkerk with the goal of fighting for the win. Constant attacking and high pace will be a on the riders’ menu tomorrow, therefore positioning will be key in order to be in contention for the win.

Lineup Arno Wallaard Memorial: Minne Verboom, Marten Kooistra, Cees Bol, Jordi Meeus, Jan Maas & Thymen Arensman.

Jordi Meeus, first timer in the race:
“I feel really good coming into it. After crashing in Tour de Normandie it took me a while to get that smooth feeling in my legs, but now is back and ready to fight again. I had enough time to recover my body and mind and get my condition back on track. I feel that I am ready to perform again on high level again, and I can’t wait to pin on the numbers tomorrow! I expect it to be hard race, but we have a strong team and we have been capable to race for the win in 1.2 kind of races, and this time won’t be an exception we have to be confident and go for it. Taking last year’s example, we have to pay a lot of attention into positing and working together, if we do so a great result will follow”.
