Preview Dwars door het Hageland
Tomorrow our riders will face the fifth round of the Napoleon Games Cup, Dwars door het Hageland. The 194 km long course will present a really challenging parcour from Aarschot to Diest. The peloton will face multiple cobbled and unpaved sections as well as short steep hills, which will be key when it comes to the final outcome of the race. Thanks to his strong performances in GP Marcel Kint and Heieste Pijl, where he took second and fifth respectively, Cees Bol currently leads the Napoleon Games Cup overall classification. Our 7-man roster will seek to keep the winning streak going against a field filled by professional teams.

Lineup Dwars dooor het Hageland: Minne Verboom, Julius van den Berg, Marten Kooistra, George Stavrakakis, Cees Bol, Jordi Meeus & Peter Lenderink.

Dries Hollanders, team DS for the race, has great knowledge of the Hageland area:
“The plan for the race will be to defends Cees Bol’s leading position in the overall classification. It will be really hard because there are really strong riders and some WorldTour teams, but that is a good step in the rider’s development as this is a totally different way of racing than the one we are used to. In my opinion, the profile change makes the race more controllable for the bigger teams but the key points will be the second lap through the Landgdorp sector, with 4 km off-road, and the two local laps that combine off-road section with short steep hills. Our goal as a team will be to be in front and if possible place someone within the Top 10. It is a challenging mission but we have some riders in great form”.
