Jordi Meeus is feeling confident ahead of the race:
“My shape is very good and I have the confidence from winning in Czech Tour, so I won’t hide that I’ll be looking for a good result. I expect it to be a though race from the beginning on. The loop is hard enough to drop some riders, so it’s a case of be focused and in the front of the bunch all day long. After Czech Tour, where I felt very good, I took some easy days to recover and from than on it was a very strict training plan. Doing some long endurance training and some specific intervals. These should make me ready to race and even be that few percent better than I was in Czech!”

Marco Frigo, has done his homework leading into the event:
“I get into the U23 Europeans with lot of work done! After Czech Tour, I stayed another week in mountain and I think that it putsme in a good shape, so the goals are ambitious. Besides we have a good lineup for different scenarios; the parcours is quite tricky so we have to be ready every day. For me it would suit a hard race that goes off from the gun, but racing with the national team is always special and I’ll give 110%”
