Tomorrow we are back in racing mode as seven of our talents will tackle 1.1 Heistse Pijl. The one-day race presents a relatively flat parcour with start in Turnhout and will finish in Heist-op-den-Berg 191 km later. The team is motivated to come back to a race that could not be held last year because of the pandemic, and we will look forward to replicating the success that we had there in 2018, when Cees Bol powered to a very strong Top 5 in a tricky final. We will show up at the start line, with a balanced lineup that will allow us to have different cards to play to maximize the final outcome.

Lineup Heiste Pijl: Tom Day, Dries de Pooter, Sean Flynn, Wessel Krul, Milan Paulus, Jesper Rasch & Maikel Zijlaard.

“We have a balanced lineup and we will be looking to have a protagonist role in the race. We have to be very attentive to the initial breakaways and decide if it’s worth or not jumping across and deal with each situation of the race and be aggressive. We know the race from past years and the riders know what they have to do and they are in good shape, so we have different scenarios in which we can score a good result”.
