Almost 200 km between Middelkerke and Lichtervelde awaits the bunch at tomorrow’s Omloop van het Houtland. After a hiatus in the 2020 edition due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the race is back to full swing, and a strong field previews a hard day of racing for our talents. The predominantly flat parcour won’t stop the action to take place from the flag drop. The constant and high-speed that the race will go at all times, combined with a tireless attacking mentality will make up for a great day on the bike.

Lineup Omloop van het Houtland: Maikel Zijlaard, Milan Paulus, Wessel Krul, Jesper Rasch, Sean Flynn, Nikos Drakos and Tom Day.

Pim Ligthart, Academy DS for the race:
“The team is coming to the end of the season in great shape and that is very clear with our latest results. Then we hope to keep making steps forward in that sense and we up there when the key moments unfold. We have riders of the likes of Maikel (Zijlaard), Wessel (Krul) and Jesper (Rasch) that have been in winning days in the past days, so that will be an added value coming into the race”.
