Preview Omloop van Valkenswaard
04/09/2021
A tough race awaits our talents at Omloop van Valkenwaard, with several gravel sections together with cobbled parts along the 196 km long route. Despite the constant challenges, the team knows how to perform well there as last year Jesper Rasch powered to a very solid third place in the day. The set of 1.1 and 1.2 one-day races that this lineup has put into the legs over the recent period will be a positive help for tomorrow’s race. Riders of the likes of Corbin Strong and the above-mentioned Jesper Rasch can take advantage of their top speed to score a solid result. Stan van Tricht comes back to the lineup after being part of the Deceuninck Quick-Step team that took the win in the Brussels Cycling Classic.
Line up Omloop van Valkenswaard: Corbin Strong, Stan van Tricht, Jesper Rasch, Sean Flynn and Nikos Drakos.
Dries Hollanders, Academy DS for the race:
“We arrive at the race with good legs after a solid set of one-day races during the last period. We scored a good result there last year with Jesper taking third, so we know that we can play for the win. We will have several options with riders like Jesper himself, Corbin, and Stan so it will be a matter of working together and picking up the right move when it comes down to it”.
