The SEG Racing Academy is back to action with the U23 Dutch Nationals Road Race that will take place in the region of Drenthe, with the Col du Vam being it’s main attraction in each lap. The course will feature up to 17 laps and for a total of 124 km. The parcours are well know for all riders as they are ridden in Ronde van Drenthe and last year’s Olympia’s Tour. The team is ready and the form is there as it was shown in the 4-day long Czech Tour.

The U23 Dutch Nationals has been always a target race for the Academy and the track record shows it. From 2016 to 2018 we went to win it three times in a row with Fabio Jakobsen (2017 and 2018) and Julius van den Berg (in 2019), therefore the 2020 squad will be looking to claim our fourth one.

U23 Dutch Nationals Road Race Lineup: David Dekker, Daan Hoole, Maikel Zijlaard, Wessel Krul & Jesper Rasch.

Aike Visbeek, Academy Director and DS for the race:
“We are ready to take on the challenge and to try to retain the U23 Dutch Road Race title. We have a solid team in really good shape and we have to take advantage of that. The training sessions in our training camp in Limburg and the great performance in Czech Tour is a real morale boost for the team, also we know well the parcours and the guys will be able to do a recon in the morning, so it will be a pretty interesting one” .
