Schelling & Hartley stay in the Top 5 overall in Aosta
After yesterday’s success, that saw Ide Schelling taking the stage win as well as the leaders and KOM jersey, our guys kicked off the second road stage of the Italian that featured the first mountaintop finish. The race started with several attempts to make it up the road, but it was not until well entered into the stage that a group of 12-riders distanced the peloton.

Our Ide Schelling, yellow jersey wearer for the day, had a mechanical problem at the beginning of the second-to-last climb of the day, which forced him to chase back to the main group. However, the hard slopes and the work done previously by our talents saw them falling behind in the group, with Schelling losing contact. Adam Hartley, who yesterday was fourth in the day, was our best finisher and rolled to the line in 16th place.

Despite the long-range attacks and the time gaps, we can find two SEG Racing Academy jerseys within the first five spots of the overall classification, and this is the likes of Adam Hartley who sits in third followed by Ide Schelling in fourth. Tomorrow another tough day awaits the peloton, which will feature a total of four categorized climbs.
