Schelling: “I expect that we will fight for the win again”
“I am feeling in shape and confident to go for a good result in Ronde de l’Isard”. Short and clear, our 21-year old Dutchman hopes for a good one in Ronde de l’Isard, which starts tomorrow. Schelling played a key role last year as a former teammate and current Bahrain-Merida rider, Stevie Williams, took two stages as well as the overall win in the race.

“I have done the race for the past two years, and even though the parcours are quite different to what we had last year, it will be a really nice race to do. In the two years that I’ve been part of the l’Isard squad we have achieved good results, so I expect that we will be up there again” says Schelling. The young Dutchman is enjoying his third year in the U23 category, and we can see his progression getting better year in year out.

In order to prepare for this race, the 21-year old rider has moved to our team house in cycling’s mecca Girona. “Being in Girona leading out to such a race it is nothing short to perfect. It’s such a cool place with nice climbs and great roads, so in terms of preparations we could not be in a better place, now it is time to show it on the road”
