Our multi-talented, Corbin Strong, started 2020 in full-swing and is shining in both, track and road racing events. Strong, who recently finished third overall in the New Zealand Cycle Classic and took the Best Young Rider jersey after taking two Track World Cup podiums, surprised himself with such performances after a resting period.

“I had a short break over Christmas so I wasn’t sure what to expect at my first couple of events. The rest has done me a lot of good and I’ve been really happy with my results and form on both the road and the track in the early part of this season” points out Corbin.

Strong, who will soon join his new teammates in Loutraki in the team training camp, earned a selection for the 2020 Track World Championships that will be celebrated in Berlin as he builds up for the Tokyo Olympics. “I’m really looking forward to 2020. My main focus for the year is the Tokyo Olympics on the track, we have a potential gold-medal-squad in the Team Pursuit. However, I’m also really looking forward to racing on the European scene with SEG Racing Academy this season. I fully conscious that I am in the best environment to develop and learn as a road rider”.

After a successful 2019, the multi-talented rider has a clear mindset of what goals he wants to achieve. “Last year was my first season out of the juniors and it was quite a break through. I really enjoyed the step up and I felt how I was growing as an athlete. With that in mind, I want to keep on growing and get the right guidance in my career, on and off the bike, and I feel very privileged to be in the position that I am now.
