Two stage wins & the green jersey after a week in Normandie

We arrived at the last stage of the 2019 Tour de Normandie with two stage wins under our belt as well as Alberto Dainese wearing the green jersey as the leader of the points classification. 150 km separated the riders from Caen, the usual finish-town of the race. The parcour was quite flat which previewed a bunch sprint towards the end. Four riders jumped away from the peloton and formed the breakaway of the day. After yesterday's strong win by Bárnabas Peák and Alberto Dainese sprinting to second, we were ready to fight again for our third win in this edition of the Tour de Normandie. Dainese takes second in the opening day in Normandie

Today it was the start of our first stage race of the season, Tour de Normandie. The 7-day long stage race kicked off with a 159 km long stage, which featured several laps to a local circuit before the finish. After the World Championships action, we were back in Academy colors in Netherland's Ronde van Midden Brabant. The 160 km long presented a predominately flat parcour that saw the riders complete 3 laps of 40 km before targetting the final two local laps in an urban circuit of 20 km in length.The race started with some attempts to move up front and it was finally a group of four riders the ones that made it up the road.
