Three Top 20 in Bretagne, and Fabio takes eighth in Meerkerk

Stage 5 of Tour de Bretagne featured a very fast start that led the bunch to complete over 47 km during the first hour of racing. Several attacks and breakaway attempts were made but our riders always kept the team well represented by always following the attacks or making the cut to large groups. It took less than 20 km in today’s Arno Wallamaard Memorial for the wind to break the race into small groups. After a hectic start, our Fabio Jakobsen, Martijn de Jong and Ide Schelling were all well-positioned and quickly bridged to the first group. Unfortunately, Ide was involved in an unlucky accident and couldn't get back to the front group. The good understanding among the breakaway members allowed the group to keep on growing its gap, giving the chasers no chance to make it back.
