That is wrap for us at the 40th edition of the Giro d'Italia U23. The race was off to a fast start, and it took more than an hour of racing before the breakaway finally went clear. Cullaigh drops out in the Giro’s hottest day

It was the hottest day in the Giro d’Italia U23, reaching 38°C during the stage. The race presented a challenging parcour that features up to five categorized climbs, including an uphill finish all the way up to Casalincontrada. Our team was not off to a good start as Gabriel Cullaigh was forced to withdraw of the race shortly after the start because of sickness. Day three and yet another hectic day of racing at the Giro d'Italia U23. Today's stage presented a tough parcour that included five categorized climbs but the peloton made it even harder as it took 42 km for the first breakaway to go clear. It was a hectic day out at the first stage of the Giro d’Italia U23. The peloton started the 40th edition of the race in Imola, and it didn’t take long until the 3-man breakaway went clear. Today’s parcour presented a tricky final kilometers as the two categorized climbs were compressed inside the last 50 km of the day.
