Today's Amersfoort Groeistad Klassieker was the first round of our action packed weekend of one-day races in the Netherlands. Action packed weekend of racing at the Ronde van Midden Nederland

Our guys kicked off an action packed weekend at the Ronde van Midden Nederland yesterday with a 26,7 km long team time trial. The course consisted of two laps around a 13,4 km in a predominantly flat parcour. Our seven man line-up completed the course in just under 30 minutes with an average speed of 52,6 km/h, rolling to the line with the 13th fastest time of the day. It was a hard day on the bike for our 5-man squad in Belgium's GP Stad Zottegem. The race was off to a fast start with many attackers trying to go on the break of the day, and our riders kept the Academy's flag well represented. The Dutch Ronde van de Achterhoek was on the menu for our guys today. The course consisted in a predominantly flat parcour that computed a total of 186,4 km including six laps at the final local circuit that was 8 km long. The day started in a bad way as our Marten Kooistra was forced to withdraw from the race after finding himself involved in a crash. That was a wrap to our participation at the Czech Tour, and our guys did not miss the opportunity of showing the Academy's flag. After several attempts it was Marten Kooistra who made it to the breakaway of the day alongside seven other riders. A bunch sprint decides the stage 2 at the Czech Tour

Today's 202 km long stage featured the longest day of the race. The bunch was off to a fast start until a group of five riders broke clear to the hilly parcour. Following team's orders our Italian rider, Edoardo Affini, joined the move and stayed upfront until a mechanical forced him to wait for the car and rejoin the pack. Sixth place in the opening TTT at the Czech Tour

The 2017 edition of the Czech Cycling Tour kicked off in Uničov with a 18,6 km long Team Time Trial. It was a fast parcour with some with some technical section that our guys overcame sensationally in their way to a final sixth place overall, with four riders finishing just 28 seconds down on the winning squad. The team's strategy was based on using the power of some of the riders in the first kilometers of the stage, meanwhile some other saved energy riding on the wheels. Yesterday's Omloop het Hageland marked the debut of our new trainee, Jordi Meeus. The course presented a mix of cobbles and dust that made the race even tougher for the peloton. As expected, the gravel roads of Koga Slag om Norg decided a very hectic day on the bike. The breakaway of the day was quickly formed, and three riders broke away from the back at a very early stage of the day. The peloton allowed them over seven minutes before the they started chasing back.
