The 2017 edition of the Olympia's Tour started today with a fast 4,3 km prologue around the streets of Eelde. Action packed weekend of racing at the Ronde van Midden Nederland

Our guys kicked off an action packed weekend at the Ronde van Midden Nederland yesterday with a 26,7 km long team time trial. The course consisted of two laps around a 13,4 km in a predominantly flat parcour. Our seven man line-up completed the course in just under 30 minutes with an average speed of 52,6 km/h, rolling to the line with the 13th fastest time of the day. Hard day out in GP Stad Zottegem

It was a hard day on the bike for our 5-man squad in Belgium's GP Stad Zottegem. The race was off to a fast start with many attackers trying to go on the break of the day, and our riders kept the Academy's flag well represented. Evensen takes fourth at the Ronde van de Achterhoek

The Dutch Ronde van de Achterhoek was on the menu for our guys today. The course consisted in a predominantly flat parcour that computed a total of 186,4 km including six laps at the final local circuit that was 8 km long. The day started in a bad way as our Marten Kooistra was forced to withdraw from the race after finding himself involved in a crash. Once again we had only three riders at the start of today's stage three at the Giro valle d'Aosta. Strong team performance in the IT Vaals

Our guys put on a great performance as today's test around Vaals was a difficult one. The 15,5 km long time trial went through a hilly circuit which made it a tough one for the riders. The recently crowned U23 National champion, Julius van den Berg, showed the Dutch stripes and finished his ride in the top spot of the table, only being beaten minutes later by one other rider. JULIUS VAN DE BERG WINS U23 DUTCH NATIONAL TIME TRIAL TITLE

What a way to kick off the Dutch National Championships! Our Julius van den Berg made the most of his good form and claimed the U23 title in Montferland. The strong Dutchman was the fastest of the field and the only rider to complete the circuit under 31 minutes. Van den Berg has been showing his talent when riding against the clock by winning the District Championship and finishing eight in the Giro time trial stage but this win is a huge success for him and the team. Van den Berg is the fastest at the DK TT

Julius van den Berg and Ide Schelling put on some big power and secured first and second in the time trial of the NH District Kampioenschap. This was Julius' first victory this season and the first podium finish for first-year U23 Schelling. Both riders had a great performance with an average speed above 48 km/h. This one was the sixth victory of the season for our team this season and the first in the race against the clock.continue reading →

Once again, the peloton was off to a fast start in the streets of Stein. Several attacks and breakaway attempts were made during the first hour of racing, but none of those w allowed a considerable gap. Finally, it was a group of 14 riders, including Top Competitie’s leader Adriaan Janssen, making it to the front and being allowed a two-minute gap.
