It took less than 20 km in today’s Arno Wallamaard Memorial for the wind to break the race into small groups. After a hectic start, our Fabio Jakobsen, Martijn de Jong and Ide Schelling were all well-positioned and quickly bridged to the first group. Unfortunately, Ide was involved in an unlucky accident and couldn't get back to the front group. Strong team performance in today’s individual time trial

The morning stage saw our riders getting down the ramp for the first time trial of the season. The 10km loop around Chièvres did not stop our Edoardo Affini as he powered to 8th place just six seconds down the stage winner. After a solid effort against the clock, Jan Maas and Hartthijs de Vries, moved up to 13th and 15th in GC.  The afternoon stage presented a challenging start where the riders had to tackle up to six categorized climbs within the first 40 km before getting into the final circuit. Fast day in Dorpenomloop Rucphen today! After one hour of racing the first breakaway went clear. Several attemps were made during the first part of the race, and our guys managed to keep the team well represented. Ide Schelling’s U23 debut

Saturday's Ster Van Zwolle will feature Ide Schelling's debut at U23 level. After a succesful last junior season, the 19-year old comes to our team to continue his development. "For me it was a top priority to join SEG Racing Academy", says Ide. "As a first year rider, it is all about learning. Having teammates who already won a lot in U23 is a big help.
