Team building training camp recap
Last weekend team building training camp featured the first get-together of the squad that will represent the Academy throughout the 2018 season.
A weekend packed with bonding activities helped staff, riders and management to come closer and for the new faces of the team it was a great change to get-to-know everybody.

For the first time ever and powered by Tacx, the Academy did its own testing protocol to the riders. The aim of this testing protocol was to give the best possible feedback to the Performance Staff to work on each rider’s training plan so they can tackle their goals at the top of their form.

With the CTO Zuid being our host for the weekend we enjoyed some team building activities such as karting and mountain biking to name a couple, that really helped everyone to come together. Current Junior Dutch TT Champion, Minne Verboom, talks about his experience in his first ever training camp with the Academy:

“It was great to finally see all my new teammates and stuff! There was a great atmosphere and it was really fun and I had some good conversations with the coaches about next year. The karting with the team was great, unfortunately it is not my strongest point. Also the tree-climbing was fun and extremely hard!”

It was great to be all together and start building towards 2018 but now it is time to work hard ahead of our first training camp in Loutraki in January.
