It was an action packed day for the peloton at the Giro d’Italia U23. The short an explosive morning stage saw the peloton arriving together to the last climb of the day after having chased down some breakaway attempts. In hard sloped of the last difficulty of the day, Stevie Williams stayed with the leaders group before losing contact with them in the final kilometers.
The afternoon time trial stage presented a tough parcour as the riders had to tackle a 2,5 km uphil part just a couple of kilometers in the race. Julius van den Berg showed his skills when riding against the clock and seized his second Top 10 in this Giro after powering to eight in the day.
