Michiel Elijzen: “We won’t go down without a fight”

This is what our Performance Manager, Michiel Elijzen, has to say regarding tomorrow’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège:

“This is one of the most important races of our season. The final is similar to the pro race and that makes it even more special. Our riders all had a good preparation and they should all be ready to perform well tomorrow. The big goal is to win but the main thing I want to see is that they don’t ride a passive race and trust in their own strength.”

“The recon was useful because it’s always good to know what’s coming in the race. It gives a mental advantage and I think it was important in our preparation. It will be key to be one step ahead of the other teams, ride aggressively and we must not be afraid to attack ourselves. Being such an important and famous race can lead to a really passive way of racing. That’s not the way I want to race and for sure not the way our riders want to race. So, we won’t go down without a fight.”
