Williams is ready to take on Flèche Ardennaise
After a hard week of racing in Tour de Bretagne, our team is set and ready to fight for yet another win in Flèche Ardennaise. Last year the team was down to a great performance with Stevie Willimas finishing as the first runner-up and teammate Jan Maas rolling in ninth. However, our Welsh climber is positive and ready to fight on Belgian soil. “I feel good coming into Sunday’s race, I am very positive after a good week in Tour de Bretagne and I am confident that form will come in nicely after that. I am ready to give it a go, and I am very motivated to make it a good one” points out Williams.

Looking back 12 months, the 21-year old feels like he has that extra strength to fight for the win on Sunday. “I want to go there and try to win it after last year’s result. I believe that one year later I am stronger and way more confident. We have a great lineup coming into it so I believe that we can have a good ride. The fact that many of us arrive at Flèche Ardennaise in good shape opens up different options, so we will have many cards to play” highlights Williams who finished ninth in Liège-Bastogne-Liège three weeks ago.

The experience acquired in last year’s race will play in favor of our Welshman, and it will have a very important outcome in the tactical game. “Frankly, I believe that I could use last year’s experience to be more patient this time. Having raced in those parcours before will hugely help me in knowing when it is the right moment to make a move or to launch an attack. Tactically wise it will help me and the team to perform better, so I will hope to get it right on Sunday”.
