Williams is ready to take on the Ardennes
Short steep hills will be on the menu for our riders in the coming two weekends as the team will be competing in Circuit des Ardennes and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Stevie Williams could not show himself last year in these kind of races as he suffered a chest infection after the opening stage in France. However, this year everything is going on the right track and his preparation has been focus into shining in these events. “After spending two months in Loutraki he put on solid base foundation for the season. He competed in some Dutch one-day races earlier and in Normandie he got those needed racing kilometers and that little extra push that competition gives to your condition” highlights Performance Manager Vasilis Anastopoulos.

Williams, who was second in last year’s Flèche Ardenaisse, is looking forward the pin on the numbers and show himself in both events. “Preparation has gone well, and some form will soak in from Normandie as it was a hard week of racing. I think that we have a really good team going into it, we will show up with six strong guys in both events so that will give us a lot of confidence”.

When it come to goal setting both, Anastopoulos and Williams hope nothing but the best for the Welshman. “After all the training load that he has done we can expect nothing but the best. This races are a priority for him and is capable to fight for everything” shares our Greek Performance Manager. Williams have a clear vision of what he wants to achieve in the next weeks of racing in France and Belgium. “I want to give my all and I know that I am ready for it. Everything can happen in the races, but I hope to be up there fighting to be as close to the win as possible in both events”.
